Climate fight boosted by Trump snub

DONALD Trump’s refusal to tackle global warming has been “less of a problem” than feared – as it has made others more determined to beat climate change, Al Gore claims.

The former US Vice President said Trump’s decision to pull out of the Paris Agreement had backfired on the US President.

Mr Gore, in the UK for the premiere of his documentary An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power, told Radio 4’s Today show: “The entire rest of the world redoubled their commitments... and states and cities and business leaders said, ‘We’re going to meet the commitments regardless of Trump.’”
