Spurs top house price-rise league

TOTTENHAM Hotspur are champions of the Premier League for house price rises, according to a survey.

Halifax analysed house values in the past 20 years for the areas near the stadiums of the 49 football clubs to play in the league since 1992.

Bottom of the league table was Blackpool, where house prices are just £88,668 higher than 20 years ago, a rise of 124%.

Unsurprisi­ngly Chelsea and Fulham shared the title of priciest area to buy, with homes averaging £1.1million.
