Acid assault teen ‘deserves’ prison

-

THIS is the face of Emily Bowen, the 18-year-old jailed for an acid attack on a love rival.

She poured One Shot drain cleaner – which is 91% sulphuric acid – into Molly Young’s viola case at school in East Lothian last September, leading to her suffering leg burns. She then faked a poison pen letter from her victim, also 18.

Bowen, from Haddington, was jailed for 21 months at Edinburgh sheriff court on Monday.

A friend, who did not want to named, said: “What Emily did to poor Molly was really bad and she deserves everything she gets.”
