WOLVES A REAL TITLE ‘THREAT’ WARNS MARTIN
CHRIS MARTIN has warned Derby to be wary of promotion “threat” Wolves.
The hotly-tipped Midlands duo meet today with big-spending Wolves on a high after an impressive 1-0 opening-day win over Middlesbrough at Molineux.
Wolves shelled out a Championship record £15million to land playmaker Ruben Neves from Porto and Martin expects a tough test against new head coach Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
Striker Martin (above) said: “Wolves have got some quality and it will boil down to how well they gel and adjust to playing in England, but I think they are going to be a real threat.
“I have scored a couple in recent years against Wolves, but I don’t want to get too carried away. We know it will be a tough game – they’ve already beaten one of the title favourites in Boro.”
