ONE date to keep free in your diary is October 21 — Champions Day at Ascot.

The winners of 83 Group 1 races and 16 European Classics (I backed them all) will feature among the possible starters for some major rewards.

The best will be taking on the very best, all of the 10 highestrated horses in Europe hold entries for Britain’s richest raceday, with a total of £4.3million in prize money.

We’re talking the likes of Winter, Enable, Ribchester, Barney Roy, Harry Angel, Ulysses, Order Of St George and Big Orange to name but a few.

In 2016 the day was officially rated the top raceday in Europe, and this year there’s a week longer between the Arc and Champions Day, meaning Enable could compete at the Arc AND run at Ascot.

If you haven’t already got a ticket yet I urge you to buy one — or at the very least buy me one.
