RISE OF YOUNG FOGEY

DUBBED the Minister for the 18th century, Jacob Rees-Mogg is an ultra-traditionalist who hates gay marriage and spent years agitating for an EU referendum.

After Eton and Oxford he worked in the City, then made a failed bid for election in Central Fife in 1997 – canvassing with his nanny. He became MP for North East Somerset in 2010 and he lives there with wife Helena and their six bizarrely-named kids.

The “young fogey” is a cult star and fans use the slogan: “Cometh the hour, cometh the Mogg.”
