Risk for 1 in 6 care homes
ONE in six care homes is at risk of failure due to rising costs and lack of funding, a study warns.
A “persistent” lack of funds has put severe financial pressure on the care sector, said accountancy firm Moore Stephens.
It said “too many businesses are heading back to the brink”.
Labour’s shadow social care minister Barbara Keeley said: “Tory Ministers have ignored warnings underfunding is causing a crisis. Now one is six care homes is under threat.”
