Train ‘bomb’ shuts station

A PASSENGER thought to be trying to board a London-bound train with a military relic sparked a bomb scare in Paris.

Gare du Nord station was evacuated on Saturday and witnesses reported scenes of confusion.

Businessman Martin Adams, 31, waiting to board Eurostar, said there was a controlled explosion.

He said: “My wife heard someone say it was a tourist trying to bring part of an Second World War bomb through customs.”
