ANIMAL ABUSE SO SICK
#Well done to comedians Ricky Gervais, Paul O’Grady, Tracey Ullman etc for demanding tougher sentences for animal abusers (Mirror, August 9). It’s a disgrace that so many of the sick individuals who torture and abuse innocent animals get off with a tap on the wrist.
It is a well known fact that many serial killers start off by killing animals, so locking these thugs up for longer might actually save people’s lives. My only issue is that I think a maximum of five years is too short – give them 10 at the very least.
