Clem pain at window

SWANSEA boss Paul Clement has called for Premier League solidarity to end transfer window chaos.

City are among clubs plagued by uncertainty – for them it is the future of Gylfi Sigurdsson – as the season got under way. Everton are chasing the midfielder and Clement fears having to scramble for a replacement on deadline day.

He said Swansea would back the window closing before the season starts and added: “At our managers’ meeting at the Premier League last week, we spoke about it. The majority of clubs are in favour but maybe all have to be for it to go through.”
