SAVILLE ROW STYLE SUITS MILLWALL
SIMON GRAYSON is convinced his Sunderland side’s counter-attacking master-class at Norwich is proof that the good times might finally be coming back.
MOM LEWIS GRABBAN (SUNDERLAND) MILLWALL boss Neil Harris is stunned Wolves sold George Saville to the club in the summer.
The midfielder (above), who moved to the Den on a permanent deal having previously been on loan, scored his first Lions goal following a one-two with Steve Morison before Filipe Morais rescued Bolton with a wonder free kick.
After a first Championship point of the season, Harris said: “Everyone’s got their own opinions on players, but I’m pleased they let him go, obviously.
“He’s shown his qualities as a player and I look forward to seeing many more performances like that.
“George was excellent. It was a very dominant display in the middle of the park. Him and Shaun Williams were excellent.
“The two of them dominated Bolton’s three-man midfield and George deserved his goal.
“We’ve got the quality to be able to play and to mix it as well. We’re pleased with the point but disappointed we haven’t got six points on the board this season.”
Bolton manager Phil Parkinson admits he may make changes for the trip to Birmingham tomorrow – and give some of the names that won at Crewe in the Carabao Cup last week a chance.
He said: “The signs are there, it is an important point. It has been a decent, but certainly not spectacular, first week.
“We always knew the start of the season would be full-on in terms of the demand on us but last Wednesday we managed to change a lot of players so we’ve got the option to do that again.
“It’s now up to me and the rest of the staff on the way back to have a good think about it and make the right decisions to pick a team that can go again on Tuesday.”
