DAN: GERS STILL HAVE BIG HEARTS

- BY IAN BAKER

RANGERS defender Danny Wilson has warned Hearts they will suffer a backlash on Saturday.

The Gers went down to a controversial 3-2 defeat at home to Hibernian.

Alfredo Morelos (above) put Rangers ahead before Simon Murray levelled, but the game turned when the Gers’ Ryan Jack was dismissed for a bust-up with Dylan McGeouch and Anthony Stokes.

James Tavernier hit an own-goal before Vykintas Slivka made it 3-1. Tavernier got one back and Wilson can’t wait for next week.

He said: “From the tail end of pre-season, we have been in good spirits and have been building good momentum, which has come to a stop.

“We need to pick it up again next week and get three points on the board.

“We know we could have done a lot better against Hibs. With the way we started the game, we could have been a couple of goals up and the sending-off changed it, there’s no getting away from that.”

Motherwell had three men sent off in their 4-1 defeat at St Johnstone – with Trevor Carson, Carl McHugh and Charles Dunne all dismissed. Aberdeen debuted former Preston striker Stevie May in their 2-1 win at Ross County.
