WHAT do you get if you add these 13 sets of twins to the start of the new term?

Teachers in one local authority area will find out when the 26 children begin school this week. They bring the total number of sets of twins being taught in the Inverclyde Council region to 164.

Arlene Cairns, whose five-year-old girls Kendal and Skye (second row up, second right) start at Ardgowan Primary, in Greenock, soon, said: “There’s definitely something in the water here.”

Inverclyde provost Martin Brennan said of the group: “I am sure they’ll have a huge amount of fun over coming years.”
