Bentley pulls up at Saints
RUGBY LEAGUE
ST HELENS’ new signing James Bentley admits it was an “emotional” decision to leave Bradford – but is now keen to make his mark in Super League.
The back-rower, 19, will link up with Saints next season on a threeyear contract having scored 15 tries in 22 games for the struggling Bulls in the Championship.
Former Great Britain internationals Leon Pryce (above) and Chev Walker have been among those praising the teenager, with the latter comparing his approach to Leeds legend Kevin Sinfield’s.
Bentley said: “It was a big decision to leave, an emotional one but I am looking forward to playing at the top level. It’s going to be a lot faster and tougher.”
