Davis ‘leered at MP and dodges work’
A FORMER top aide to David Davis yesterday sensationally accused him of “drunkenly leering” over Diane Abbott and dodging work.
The Brexit Secretary’s ex-chief of staff James Chapman said he works “a three-day week”and has ex-UKIP leader Nigel Farage “on speed dial”.
Mr Davis said: “Not on speed dial, I’ve got his number somewhere.
“All this stuff, this is the small change of politics.”
Mr Chapman said: “I was with DD when he leered over [Diane Abbott]. He was drunk, bullying and inappropriate.” Mr Davis was accused of leaning in to kiss Shadow Home Secretary Ms Abbott in a Commons bar earlier this year, before she told him to “f*** off”.
Mr Chapman added: “Brexiteers asking if I have ‘gone mad’. Well, I am incandescent at what they’ve done to my children’s country.”
