Di’s boys chose ‘magic’ women
How harsh of Diana’s ex-butler Paul Burrell to compare the Duchess of Cambridge to her.
He says she doesn’t have the same “magic” as his former boss, but I think Kate is doing a great job. She seems to be a good mother, a loving wife and a very positive role model for young people.
Diana wasn’t always perfect. Who is? Surely the fact that Kate and Prince William seem to have a loving, stable relationship and two gorgeous children is what we should be celebrating.
This kind of scrutiny doesn’t bode well for Meghan Markle. She must be terrified by the prospect that, if she did marry Prince Harry, she’d face the same kind of comparisons with Diana.
But what’s crucial here is Diana would not want her sons’ partners to feel that pressure. She would just be delighted her boys married for love – and married women with their own identities.
