CEDRIC THE NEW TARGET

ANTONIO CONTE is looking at Southampton’s Cedric as he tries to solve Chelsea’s problems at right-back. The champions want at least three more players in before the window closes. Conte has already been beaten to former Real Madrid right-back Danilo by Manchester City and also has an interest in Valencia’s Joao Cancelo. The Blues boss has not yet given up on Juventus left-back Sandro either. But he is now homing in on £15million-rated Cedric, who has two years left on his Southampton contract after joining from Sporting in 2015 for £4.7m. Barcelona are also keen on the full-back, who was part of Portugal’s Euro 2016-winning squad.
