PORTUGEEZERS ARE DEADLY FOR WOLVES

Hull City 2 Wolves 3

-

PORTUGUESE pair Ruben Neves and Diogo Jota helped Wolves maintain their perfect start to the season.

Michael Dawson had equalised for Hull but the hosts were second best and sub Nouha Dicko added a third for the visitors late on.

David Meyler pulled a goal back for Hull in the ninth minute of stoppage time but Wolves’ win was never in doubt. Neves hit a 25-yard stunner after six minutes. Wolves looked in control but were undone by slack marking at a set-piece as Kamil Grosicki’s cross found Dawson who headed home from six yards.

Wolves were back in front just before half-time, as Bright Enobakhare crossed to give Jota (above) a first-time finish at the back post.

And Ivan Cavaleiro released fellow sub Dicko to fire under Tigers keeper Allan McGregor.
