JACK HUNT insists Wednesday can push for promotion again despite just one point from their first two games.

Sunderland visit tonight and the right-back (above) said: “I don’t take too much notice of the table early on.

“Probably at least 10 games in I will. We have to worry about our own performances, getting points on the board.

“We’re confident and we believe we can have a successful season.”

New Black Cats signing Aiden McGeady, who was on loan at the Owls, has been backed by boss Simon Grayson, who said: “He has the X-factor and can make something happen out of nothing as he’s one of the most talented players I’ve worked with.”
