EVERTON have finally agreed a club record fee of £45million with Swansea for Gylfi Sigurdsson.
Ronald Koeman has been pursuing his top target for most of the summer and struck a deal after two failed bids.
The Iceland midfielder, who is due for a medical today, eclipses the £30m paid for goalkeeper Jordan Pickford and takes Koeman’s transfer-window spending to £140m – the highest ever total at Goodison Park .
Gareth Barry, 36, left Everton yesterday to join West Brom for an undisclosed fee.
