RVP’s ready to go Dutch again
ROBIN VAN PERSIE is in line for a recall to the Holland team after an absence of almost two years.
The Fenerbahce forward, 34, was named in a preliminary squad for two key World Cup qualifiers – against France, on August 31, and Bulgaria, on September 3.
RVP, whose 50 goals in 101 games make him Holland’s top scorer, last played for the Dutch in 2015.
“I worked with him last season at Fenerbahce, where he showed what he could do,” said new Holland boss Dick Advocaat.
