Chris Pawley was yards away when the van ploughed into the crowd.

The 30-year-old on a trip from Manchester with partner Corey Lorde, said: “We can’t believe it. There were police everywhere and ambulances.

Chris was in the audience at the fateful May 22 Ariana Grande gig but left seconds before the bomb went off. He said: “We were so, so lucky. We came out into the area where the bomb exploded. We walked past [bomb victim] Martyn Hett who we were sitting near.

“We got through the second set of doors and as we were crossing the bridge to go down the steps to the station it went off behind us... so literally seconds.” THE partner of snooker star Ronnie O’Sullivan hid in a freezer in a restaurant to escape the mayhem.

She then said: “Gunshots just heard. Armed police running down the street looking for someone.”

In further tweets the ex-star of Footballer­s’ Wives spoke of Las Ramblas being “in lock down with armed police everywhere”. She told how the driver had been shot dead. Laila then tweeted her thanks to restaurant staff “for staying calm… I love you Barcelona”.

Primeval actor Douglas Henshall tweeted his friend: “F*** sake Laila stay safe.” Ronnie’s fan club wrote: “Stay safe. Ronnie needs you!”
