# The BBC1 drama Trust Me is both tense and compelling. It shows the true reality of being a nurse and the hurdles they face every day. The way Jodie Whittaker, left, plays nurse Cath Hardacre, who steals the identity of A&E doctor Ally Sutton, is truly convincing. I’m sure Jodie will be just as good in her second doctor role when she tackles the Tardis as the first female Doctor Who. Jennifer Gibson, Penrith, Cumbria

In answer to Rachel Macgregor’s letter (Madeuthink, Aug 11), the problem with soaps is they are on five days a week. Even with a bigger cast, there’s a limit to the number of different plotlines, and there’s no reprieve in the fight to win viewers.

I’m surprised they’ve all lasted so long. Geoff Willmetts, Bridgwater, Somerset
