WIGAN hooker Sam Powell is expecting a Salford backlash after dumping the Red Devils out of the Challenge Cup semi-finals.

Powell (above) said: “I’m sure, if it was the other way round, we’d be speaking about getting revenge. That’s what they’ll have talked about and this week it’s a big game that both teams want to win.

“They’ve not had that many great results, so they will be wanting to put that right – and we can’t afford to lose.”
