JANSSON BANS ‘SILLY’ YELLOWS

- BY DAVID ANDERSON

LEEDS hardman Pontus Jansson has vowed to clean up his act and cure his yellow fever.

Jansson (above) missed Leeds’ opener at Bolton as he was suspended for amassing 15 cautions last season – and the Swedish centre-half accepts that was over the top.

“I said to myself under 10,” said 26-year-old Jansson. “I said under five first, but that was always going to be tough in my position.

“Some types of freekicks I’m going to have to concede.

”But, of course, I have to be a bit more clever this year and not give away silly yellow cards.

“I have started well – two games, no goals against, no yellow cards.

“It’s been a challenge, but it’s a good start.”
