‘Reckless’ US risks nuclear war, says Kim

NORTH Korea accused the US of “reckless” behaviour for going ahead with war games that, it claims, could lead to “the uncontrollable phase of a nuclear war”.

A 10-day joint military exercise involving the US and South Korea begins today. It has been held every year since 1976.

But Pyongyang chiefs said it was like “pouring gasoline on fire” and risked reigniting tensions just days after Kim Jong-un shelved plans to fire four missiles into the waters around the American Pacific territory of Guam.

Donald Trump previously warned the dictator that any attacks would be met with “fire and fury”.
