Murphy lays down his law

SHAUN MURPHY snapped at a snoozing photographer after setting up a China Championship final against Luca Brecel yesterday.

Former world champion Murphy, 35, beat Ali Carter for the first time in five years in a ranking event with a 6-4 comeback victory in Guangzhou.

But a turgid match saw a photographer ejected for falling off his chair, and a TV cameraman yawning as Murphy prepared to take a shot.

World No.8 Murphy said: “Things like that happen all the time here in China – it is an assault on the senses out there.”
