Like a Bat out of hell

- BY NEIL McLEMAN

LILLE are ready to offer £36million to end Michy Batshuayi’s misery at Chelsea.

The Belgium striker moved to Stamford Bridge for £33m last year after turning down London rivals West Ham and Crystal Palace.

Batshuayi (below) scored only five Premier League goals

season, although one of them clinched the title for Chelsea. He started only one game for the Blues, who have now bought Alvaro Morata to replace Diego Costa.

Batshuayi came on as a substitute against Tottenham on Sunday, but scored an own goal.

Lille, under Batshuayi’s former Marseille coach Marcelo Bielsa, have picked up only three points from their first three games.

Chelsea could even make a profit. They paid 40m euros and although Lille will offer the same amount, the falling pound means it is now worth much more.
