Home-time Hazel
Hazel Irvine says she cut her workload at BBC Sport for her family’s sake.
She has quit fronting golf majors coverage and says: “My daughter is eight and I have missed five of her summer holidays because I’m away with work.
“And two I was at home for, I was preparing to go away.” Hazel will still host the Winter Olympics and snooker, which gives her “at least two belly laughs a day”. She calls pundits John Parrott and Steve Davis “Citrus Twins” – because they “looked like lemons the first time on TV”.
