Already coined

A gag named by TV channel Dave as the best at Edinburgh Fringe is very similar to one told on one of its hit shows.

Ken Cheng claimed the joke accolade for: “I’m not a fan of the new pound coin but then again I hate all change.”

But talking about a new £1 coin, comic Dave Gorman quipped on an episode of Modern Life Is Goodish which aired in October 2014: “Some people were upset, of course they were, because some people fear change.”

The reaction? A groan.
