Good news... the 10pm slot is safe

The News at Ten team can rest easy in their beds. ITV boss Kevin Lygo yesterday said that if he does decide to bring back The Nightly Show, it certainly wouldn’t be in a 10pm slot again.

Asked if it had worked, he admitted: “Not really. Having different hosts every week, which we thought was a marvellous idea at the time, made it really difficult for the production team. And 10pm was too early. It was a bit of a shock.”
