Cash probe for orphan charity

“We do not work behind closed doors – everything we do is shown in public,” its website boasts.

Now the Charity Commission has opened an investigation, citing unexplained payments to a trustee and the charity being unable to provide records explaining “a significant amount of its overseas expenditure”.
