LEEDS HAVE GROT TEEN ACE
LEEDS boss Thomas Christiansen is on the verge of signing NEC Nijmegen striker Jay-Roy Grot for £1.5million.
Christiansen (right) swooped for the 6ft 4in teenager after Chris Wood quit Elland Road in a £15m switch to Burnley this week.
Now Grot, 19, is poised to pen a four-year deal after jetting in from Holland for final contract talks and medical checks last night.
And it could put him in line for a debut at Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
Grot bagged six goals in 23 outings for NEC last season.
Christiansen will also step up his chase of Middlesbrough striker Rudy Gestede by upping an initial £6m bid.
