BOLTON players are ready to adopt boss Phil Parkinson’s fighting spirit to stay in the Championship.

Parkinson (right) was sent to the stands with his Sheffield Wednesday counterpart Carlos Carvalhal during their 3-2 Carabao Cup win. “That feistiness showed how much it means to us,” said Bolton midfielder Jem Karacan.

“We are giving it everything we have and the gaffer showed that at the end. I know from my days with him at Reading he can handle himself.”
