Craig’s No to Red Dwarf movie
Craig Charles doesn’t want a Red Dwarf movie – he thinks it works better as a sitcom.
A film was announced as long ago as 2000 but has never been made.
At a screening of the first episode of the new series of the sci-fi comedy, Charles – who plays Lister – replied to a fan’s question: “I don’t want to make a film. I like it the way it is, shot in front of an audience. We pick up our game.”
Craig was on form despite a big session the night before. He said: “I went out with [Corrie actor] Simon Gregson, that’s why I’m so hung over. He didn’t make it to work!” The 12th series is out on Dave in October.
