How could a delivery man be so terrified of an adorable Yorkshire terrier that he reported the owner to the police (Mirror, August 23)?

And seven police officers to seize Alfie the pooch! I think they should have just issued 73-year-old Claudia Settimo with a warning – not taken her pet to the kennels where he might be put down.
