Parents feed boy, 5, carrots until he is orange
A BOY of five who was locked in a basement and fed carrots by his adoptive parents until he turned orange has been rescued.
Brett Parker Tobiasson, 31, and wife Clarissa Anne, 27, would shut the lad in the small room, which had no lights or loo, for 12 hours overnight, police said.
They said the boy “had to eat carrots before every meal,” adding his skin took on an orange tint.
Following a tip, police alerted child services in Utah, US, who removed the boy and two other children, aged two and two months, from the home. The lad now lives with his grandmother.
The Tobiassons are in custody charged with felony child abuse.
