Body-shame orchestra is closed down
AN orchestra has shut down after bosses demanded only “fit and slim” singers should perform!
The group’s bosses had asked women who didn’t fit that description to wear loose dresses that hide their “dietary indulgences”.
An email said “only singers who are physically fit and slim or at the very least, those who know how to dress strategically/suitably...” would be hired.
Artists who have performed with the Sheraton Cadwell Orchestras, in Toronto, Canada, have reacted with anger.
Singer Victoria Leone, 23, who has resigned, said: “It does suck for all the young women, all the young girls who are trying to aspire to anything.”
Management have apologised and stood down.
