Jamie wants to halve child obesity in UK
TV CHEF Jamie Oliver hopes to halve child obesity in Britain in the next 10 years with a big health campaign and TV show.
In the past two decades Jamie, 42, has fronted a variety of food shows and documentaries including Jamie’s School Dinners in 2005, calling for more nutritious school meals.
He told the Mirror: “I want to halve child obesity.
“It’s about documentaries and explaining the concept and how easy it is for a child to get ill.”
A source close to the TV chef said the campaign is in the “planning process”.
Jamie’s Quick and Easy Food airs on Channel 4 on Monday nights at 8pm. 5 Ingredients Quick & Easy Food by Jamie Oliver is published by Penguin Random House.
