Posh Coren’s rant at ‘beach tattoo fatties’
FOOD critic Giles Coren complained his trip to a beach cafe was ruined by “tattooed fatties”.
In his review, the posh TV star moaned about the public being allowed on a private beach he had visited years before.
He wrote in the Times: “I was gutted, because I now have to share the beach with a load of tattooed fatties from Plymouth.”
And the cafe at Mothecombe Bay, Devon, suffered “loud music, pikey tents, topless sunbathing and littering”.
Plymouth folk hit back, calling the BBC Back in Time for Dinner host a “London elitist”. Amanda Atkinson said: “I’m a fatty. I have tattoos. If snobby grockles want to enjoy the beauty they have to make do with what’s around.”
