POCH: DON’T BLAME JINX

-

FROM FRONT PAGE use their Wembley hoodoo as an excuse.

Harry Kane missed a glut of chances to make the points safe after Spurs – who left new £42million signing Davinson Sanchez on the bench – had gone ahead through Dele Alli.

Pochettino said: “I’m so disappointed because we showed a lack of concentration at the end and if you are leading 1-0 with the chances to kill the game, you must kill it.

“And if you cannot kill the game, you cannot show that lack of concentration – we had five or six players behind the ball. That was our mistake, it was our fault.

“Wembley has got nothing to do with it. If you remember our games with Burnley at White Hart Lane, they were always very tough.

“We cannot complain and if some people are thinking that or using it as a reason, they need to stop.

“We have a responsibility to do better and the way we conceded that goal – I can tell you it wasn’t a problem with Wembley.”
