City must go to £30m for Jonny

MANCHESTER CITY are expected to make a fresh bid for Jonny Evans after Leicester failed with a £21million offer.

West Brom want £30m for their defensive linchpin and captain. City had an £18m offer rebuffed and are expected to table an improved bid before the deadline.

Ironically Evans, 29, will be training at City’s CFA complex this week with Northern Ireland ahead of their World Cup qualifier away to San Marino on Friday.

Baggies boss Tony Pulis is considering a bid for Mamadou Sakho, who is also a target for Crystal Palace. Liverpool wanted £30m for Sakho, but may have to accept less.
