NIGEL WINTERBURN has branded Arsenal’s performance at Liverpool as “unacceptable.”

Arsenal legend Winterburn joined a host of former players and TV pundits in being highly critical of the way Arsene Wenger’s men crumbled.

Winterburn (above), in an interview with talkSPORT, said: “Firstly, being associated with the club, I need to apologise to the supporters. I was there and I really did feel for them.

“People know I work for the club but I am a little bit lost for words. I cannot believe what I saw yesterday. It was totally unacceptable for an Arsenal team.

“Every component of the team broke down very, very quickly.”
