May told: Sack Boris the clown
THERESA May faced mounting pressure to sack bumbling Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson yesterday.
BoJo is seen as an embarrassment on the world stage and Foreign Office officials are reportedly turning to his deputy, Sir Alan Duncan, to sign off decisions. One Tory MP said: “The French think Boris is unreliable, the Germans think he’s a liar and the Italians think he’s dangerous.”
But asked if the PM had full confidence in Boris, the Prime Minister’s spokeswoman said, “Yes”. And asked whether he was doing a good job, she again said, “Yes”.
