Ron’s shock £123k payout

RETIRED Ronald Patterson landed a payout of £123,201.

It related to policies linked to two MBNA credit cards, three Barclaycar­ds, one Capital One card and four loans, which dated back to 2002.

The PPI was deemed missold as Ronald thought it was part of the applicatio­n. And he was also self employed. Ronald, 67, who lives in Duns in the Scottish Borders, aid: “I was completely shocked when I found out I’d been missold PPI.”

He added: “I’m now spending the money on a holiday and I’ll be getting a new car on Monday – something I wouldn’t have been able to do before.”
