Acne-scarred pet killer flees vigilantes

VICTIM Bertie the cat ANGRY residents came within yards of catching the notorious Croydon cat killer after he was seen dumping a dead animal – thought to be his 300th victim.

The white man, 5ft 8in, in his 40s, and with acne scars, was seen with a dead cat in Caterham, Surrey, where several pets, like Bertie, left, have been mutilated and killed. Boudicca Rising, from South Norwood Animal Rescue Liberty, said: “He was seen in the garden where he placed the body. Several people then chased him.”

Surrey Police confirmed they sent a canine unit to the scene, but the suspect had disappeared.
