WHITE HART PAIN

-

A strike by crane operators threatens to halt work on scores of big building sites next month.

The new White Hart Lane stadium, home of Tottenham and their star striker Harry Kane (right) is among those set to be hit by a walkout of staff at HTC Wolffkran.

More than 200 members of Unite will stage an initial strike on Friday, September 8, after the firm imposed a two-year pay rise of 3% – below the retail prices index measure of inflation.

Sites across London, Birmingham, Sheffield, Manchester and Leeds will also be affected, where HTC cranes are vital for moving heavy supplies and equipment around.
