TV producer bites and hits cops in drunken beach row

- BY ANDY LINES Chief Reporter

A DRUNKEN British TV producer yelled vile abuse at police and bit one officer while holidaying in Bermuda.

Tamara Lodge, 33, who has worked for the BBC and ITV on programmes including The One Show and Secret Dealers, attacked two officers who asked if she needed help.

Lodge responded with abuse which included four-letter words and a racist insult. She then bit a policewoman on her right arm and her victim needed treatment in hospital. The producer, who hit a second officer’s cheek, admitted charges of assault and using offensive words. Lodge, who was fined £4,250, told a Bermuda court she could not recall the fracas on a Horseshoe Bay beach where she had been boozing and was “ashamed”. Lodge has since been fired by New York-based company Zero Point Zero Production.
