THERESA May should heed her old schoolmate who became a nurse and accuses the PM of persecuting NHS staff.

Philippa Morrison speaks for everybody in the health service and tens of millions of us who care dearly about the NHS and are horrified Tories are running it into the ground.

Mrs May’s sneaking to the head is forgivable as she was young. What isn’t is the current neglect of our most precious public service.

We challenge her to be honest on health. Give nurses the rise they deserve and hospitals the resources to treat patients.
