Madonna moves to Lisbon for son to chase footie goal
MADONNA is moving to Lisbon so that son David Banda can pursue his football career.
Portuguese club Benfica took on the 11-year-old, who the singer adopted in 2006, after a trial earlier this year.
New York-based Madonna, 59, is said to have bought a £7million estate in exclusive Sintra, 18 miles north-east of Lisbon, and scouted schools in May. Portuguese mag Visão said: “Madonna is no longer a tourist, she now lives in Lisbon.” The star, whose hits include Like a Prayer, is reportedly staying at a hotel in the city while her new home is renovated. David is one of four Malawian youngsters that Madonna has adopted. Her spokeswoman did not respond to requests for comment.
